Easy Giant Cookie Recipe

This giant chocolate chip cookie is a fun and delicious treat to serve a crowd.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Using a mixer, beat butter and sugars together on medium speed until fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time, beating until well mixed.
  • In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt and baking soda together. Add to mixer gradually (slow setting) and continue beating until combined.
  • Mix in chocolate chips and form a ball with the dough.
  • Line a 14" round metal pizza pan with parchment paper and place the dough ball in the middle of the pan. Pat the dough flat and use a rolling pin to flatten the dough into a circle. The cookie dough should be about 3/4" from the edge of the pan to allow for expansion during cooking.
  • Bake for 16-20 minutes, until the cookie is nicely browned.
  • Cool on a cooling rack and cut into wedges after about 8 minutes of cooling.
